Within WeLoveIndies, you are free to lace your own sound- and music-bundles. The total price depends on two factors: 

  • The bundle size: If you add more assets, sound and music bundles upgrade stepwise and so does the price.
  • The license type: Depending on your project type and size, you can choose between the license types S, M or L .

VIDEOS, STREAMS & PODCASTS:

  • Media: Online, regional broadcast, shows & events. Including online monetization
  • Usage: for your projects and for any third party project

TYPE: anything except paid media advertising.

 


MEDIUM INDIE PROJECT (M)

APPS & GAMES:

  • Development Budget up to 100.000€, no platform limitation

VIDEOS, STREAMS & PODCASTS:

  • Media: Online, regional broadcast, shows & events. Including online monetization + national broadcast (TV, radio, national IPTV & OTT)
  • Usage: for your projects and for any third party project

TYPE: anything including online paid media advertising for your game.

 


LARGE INDIE PROJECT (L)

APPS & GAMES:

  • Development Budget up to 250.000€, no platform limitation

VIDEOS, STREAMS & PODCASTS:

  • Media: Online, regional broadcast, shows & events. Including online monetization + national broadcast (TV, radio, national IPTV & OTT) + international broadcast (TV, radio, national IPTV & OTT)
  • Usage: for your projects and for any third party project

You can use this page to just find the perfect bang, or you go for a completely custom-made audio solution. Keep total control over your project – or hand it over to our experts – it's up to you! Our experience has shown, that for many projects the solution lays somewhere in the middle: rather unobtrusive but necessary stock assets to pull the heavy work load, combined with unique and branding custom-made ones, lacing the perfect bundle.

WeLoveIndies also has a bunch of extended functionalities - such as working simultanious on the same online-project together via project code, or creating folders while sourcing to structure larger projects.

Everything you download comes as high quality wav-file and is ready to be integrated in your middleware or engine. You don't have to fight anymore with not loopable files, or massive amounts of muddled up data with bad namings - since everything comes in the folders you've created - perfectly tagged!

WeLoveIndies is the child of the 2nd largest sound effect provider worldwide (BOOM) - and Dynamedion, Europe's largest game audio studio. It is a game audio plattform, especially designed for independend game developers. We are supporting the independent game developer scene with all forces, giving universities, game jams and other non-commercial or educational projects free access to all our work!

We are not just an asset reseller, but musicians and sound designers, who are working since decades in the game audio industry. The assets we provide on WeLoveIndies are highly professional, carefully selected and prepared "Designed-Sounds", ready for instant DragnDrop - usage in your games.

Use our assets for free for your unpublished prototypes and pitches! Just collect what you need and contact us, having  "Request free download of my current chest." checked. 

  • If you non-commercially release your project, please show our "WeLoveIndies-Trailer" as part of its opening credits and everything stays free!
  • If you commercially release your project, please licence your project.

 

 

Yes!

To share your chest or to transfer it to different devices, please use it's PROJECT CODE: 

  1. Within the chest on the left side of your project title you can hover over the "share-icon" in order to get your PROJECT CODE.
  2. On the right side of your project title you find your project list.  If you want to activate a project from a different device, enter the PROJECT CODE here and hit "Add&Activate."

Please save this project code for yourself in order to access your project even after deleting your browser cookies, which will delete your current project list - but not the project's themselves.

Every project in your chest is saved on our servers for one year!

That is custom, too! We are happy to make a free check of your game (PC as platform) and write you a feedback on what we think could be done/improved.

Sound or Music Assets ordered from our pool are ready to download within seconds after you check out. If you ask for a custom service, we will get back to you as soon as possible!

Licencing a free project without changing assets

If you just want to licence exactly the same assets, just check out the project again and select a valid licence.
If you can't find your old project: First, go to SOUND or MUSIC. On the right side of your project title within the chest you find your project list. Here you can select the project you want to check out again.

 

Licencing a free project with changing assets


Go to SOUND or MUSIC. On the right side of your project title within the chest you find your project list. Select the project you want to use as a template for your modified checkout. Back in the chest, hover over the "share icon" on the left side of your projects name and copy it's project code. Go back to the project list, you can now enter the project code and hit "Use as template". You'll have now an editable copy of your former project, which you can modify and check out again with a valid licence.

If your already licenced project evolves, please contact us to upgrade your license. 

On the right side of your project title within the chest you find your project list.  If you want to activate a project from a different device, enter the PROJECT CODE there and hit Add&Activate.

Please save this project code for yourself in order to access your project even after deleting your browser cookies, which will delete your current project list - but not the project's themselves.

Since you are only licensing the assets for your concrete project, this is unfortunately not possible. If you do another project using the same sounds, you must licence the assets again.

In individual cases, that means:

 

Any update to an existing game, including platform ports: Only new sounds need to be licenced.

Any extension / DLC / Remake of a game, including new platforms: Only new sounds need to be licenced.

A sequel to a game or a new episode in a game series: Everything needs to be licenced from scratch. 

A demo for an existing game: All already licensed sounds stay licensed,

A bundle of multiple games, sold as a single unit: Every asset needs to be licenced.

A standalone prologue to an existing game, distributes for free as a demo: Everything needs to be licenced from scratch with licence S.

A game embedded in another game: Everything needs to be licenced from scratch. 

The same game embedded into multiple other games: Everything needs to be licenced from scratch. 

A single game broken up and sold as multiple standalone episodes: Already licenced sounds stay licenced,

Yes!

Our sound and music is free of any royalties claims by collecting societies such as GEMA, SACEM, PRS, BMI, etc. You get a direct license from us, there is NO additional mechanical of performance license cost.

Even better: As student, you get all assets for free, as long as your project matches our  "License S" and is not commercial. Just collect what you need in your chest and contact us, having "Request free download of my current chest" checked.

We are also partnering up with universities, giving their students free educational access to all our assets. If you think, your university could be interested, please get in touch with us or forward our program.

There are no costs for your university!
